Some brands begin in boardrooms. Ours began in a quiet garden, with a brush in my mother’s hand.
I grew up watching her paint — turning the smallest details into something worth pausing for. A single stroke of colour could make an ordinary object feel cared for. In those moments I learned that beauty isn’t grand; it lives in the attention you give to small things.
Aakaara was born from that feeling. Every piece is hand-painted by skilled artisans who share our love for detail. Home décor made slowly, by hand, meant to be kept. Because a home should hold more than things. It should hold stories.
The name Aakaara comes from aakaar (आकार), meaning “shape” or “form.” It reflects our exploration of form across timeless materials, hand-painted by hand. The added -ra gives the name its own rhythm — distinct, and ours.
